Audyssey Gets Funding From Intel Capital

Los Angeles-based audio processing technology developer Audyssey and Intel Capital said Tuesday morning that Intel Capital has made an investment in Audyssey. Financial details of the funding were not disclosed. The announcement came in conjunction with the announcement of investments in sixteen companies by Intel Capital, the venture arm of Intel. Audyssey develops audio processing technology used in mobile devices, headphones, home theater, television, theaters, and automotive audio systems. Audyssey said the investment was led by Intel's Ranjeet Alexis. Audyssey's technology is based out of research spun out of USC's Immersive Audio Lab, called MultEQ. Audyssey was founded by Chris Kyriakakis.
