Bruin Biometrics Finds $10M For Medical Sensors

Los Angeles-based medical device startup Bruin Biometrics said this morning that it has raised $10.0M in a new fundign round, to go towards its biometric sensing products. The startup develops a sensor which can be used to detect inflammatory changes associated with wounds, and another which monitors the health of joints and prosthetic implants. The company said the funding will go towards marketing, completing clinical trials, and continued R&D. The company--which is led by Martin Burns--said the round was oversubscribed by almost $2.7M. Names of the investors in the new funding were not announced. More information »
