Ciphrex Adds Cryptocurrency Expert As Advisor

San Diego-based Ciphrex, which is developing peer-to-peer payment network technology, has snagged a cybersecurity and cryptocurrency expert to its baord of advisors. The company said today that Michael Perklin, founder and president of the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4) and director of Bitcoin Alliance of Canada, has joined as an advisor. Ciphrex recently raised a small Series A funding round, and says it is in the midst of a Series B funding effort.
