CitizenHawk Unveils Automated UDRP Filing Tool

Aliso Viejo-based CitizenHawk, which develops online tools to help brand owners detect violations, cybersquatters, and more, said this morning that it has launched a new tool which automates UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) filings. UDRP filings are used by companies to protest domain names which they believe infringe on their trademarks or other intellectual property. CitizenHawk said its HawkUDRP tool generates the filing packages required for those UDRP processes automatically. Pricing on the new tool was not announced. UDRPs are used typically to dislodge cybersquatters, people who have reserved domain names which infringe on a company's trademarks and brands, as well as "typosquatters" who reserve domain names which are close typos of those same trademarks. CitizenHawk is headed by David Duckwitz.
