Disney Launches Online Playhouse Disney Service

North Hollywood-based Disney Online announced this morning that it is launching a new premium subscription service based on its popular Playhouse Disney programs. The division of Walt Disney Internet Group said that it has begun development of a Playhouse Disney Preschool Time Online, a broadband service targeted at preschool age children. Disney said that the new service will be launched in Summer of 2005 and include popular characters like Bear in the Big Blue House, JoJo's Circus, Higgleytown Heroes, and Stanley. The company already offers games and educational activities on its Playhouse Disney web site, however the enhanced version will provide further puzzles, games, and learning activities for promoting kindergarten readiness.
