GOAT Gets $5M For Sneaker Marketplace

Los Angeles-based GOAT, a new startup which lets people buy and sell sneakers via a mobile marketplace, said on Monday that it has raised $5M in a funding round. The funding was led by Matrix Partners, and also included Upfront Ventures and Webb Investment Network. Josh Hannah of Matrix Partners joins the company's board with the funding. The company says it has now raised $12.6M in funding. Other investors in the company include Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital, NEA, SV Angel and Y Combinator.
