HyperX Lands Basketball Star Gordon Hayward In Endorsement Deal

Fountain Valley-based memory maker HyperX has signed an endorsement deal with professional basketball star Gordon Hayward, where the star will use the company's HyperX gaming headsets in marketing campaigns, for streaming game sessions, and more. Hayward--who plays professional basketball for the Utah Jazz--also is an avid video gamer, including competing in professional eSports games. HyperX said that Hayward is thefirst, traditional athlete to represent the gaming brand, and will also be conducting giveaways and making appearances for the brand. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Hayward regularly plays Halo, Starcraft II, and League of Legends. HyperX is a developer of high speed memory, SSDs, flash drives, and other products, and is the division of Kingston Technology specifically focused on gamers.
