Imagine Communications Acquired By Harris Broadcast

San Diego-based Imagine Communications, a venture-backed developer of video transcoding and other related, IPTV and digital video streaming hardware, has been acquired by Harris Broadcast, Harris said today. Financial terms of the acquisition were not annoucned. Imagine Communications was venture backed by Carmel Ventures, Columbia Capital, and Court Square Ventures. Harris Broadcast is a portfolio company of Los Angeles-based The Gores Group. Harris Broadcast provides content management and network infrastructure products and services aimed at the television broadcasting market.
