Oculus Buys Raknet

Irvine-based virtual reality technology developer Oculus VR--which is now owned by Facebook--has acquired Raknet, a developer of middleware for multiplayer, videogame development. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Raknet (AKA Jenkins Software) is based in Aliso Viejo. Raknet's C++ networking engine is specifically aimed at game developers, helping them to synchronize gameplay across multiple machines and devices.
