Quantum Fuel Systems Gets $4.4M From California

Irvine-based Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, a developer of alternative energy products, including propulsion systems for electric cars, said Monday that it has received a $4.4M, low interest loan from the California Energy Commission. According to Quantum, the loan came under the state's Clean Energy Business Financing Program. The firm said it will use the funding to purchase manufacturing equipment for its solar module facility in Irvine. Quantum said the facility will have a capacity of 45 megawatts annually.
