Semtech Gets Camera Win In Japan

Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor provider Semtech reports a design win for its HD-VLC technology, into a design for Japanese manufacturer Ikegami Tsushinki Co., Ltd. Semtech said that Ikegami, whch makes professional video camera systems, will use its technology for transmitting HD quality images as a part of a video monitoring system for trains. Ikegami is using Semtech's products in an installation at Japan's Shinkansen stations. Financial impact of the win was not announced.
