SpaceX Sets Resupply Mission To ISS For February 18th

Hawthorne-based spacecraft developer SpaceX is aiming to launch its next payload into space--a resupply of the International Space Station (ISS)--on February 18th. According to NASA's latest launch schedule, the resupply to the ISS is now being aimed at 10:01 a.m. EST on February 18th, with 5,266 pounds of cargo being scheduled for delivery to the ISS. SpaceX will be launching the mission from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, which is a replacement for the launch pad it had been using in Cape Canaveral after a catastrophic failure of a Falcon 9. SpaceX has since changed over its liquid oxygen fueling procedures, which it said earlier had caused last year's failure. SpaceX successfully returned to space on January 14th, with a launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
