Stamps.com PhotoStamps Are Back

Los Angeles-based Stamps.com has scored a win with the U.S. Postal Service, saying this morning that the U.S. Postal Service has approved the company's request to continue selling personalized postage over the Internet. The company's immensely popular PhotoStamps service allows users to upload their own digital photos and convert them into legal U.S. postage. Stamps.com said that the Postal Service has approved a year long market test beginning on May 17th, and is immediately accepting preorders starting today. The company's earlier market test was enormously successful, but was pulled due to inappropriate photos making it past the company's image screeners. The company stressed that photos must meet its content restrictions. The company's earlier test run was extremely popular for creating photos of children and pets.
