WiSilica Aims At Internet Of Things

A new, Aliso Viejo-based startup, WiSilica, said today that it has launched the company out of stealth mode, to take advantage of the Internet of Things. WiSilica said it is developing technology which will allow users to configure smart homes, buildings, lighting, sensors and wearables, creating intelligent devices that can be managed both by mobile apps and through the cloud. The startup, led by Suresh Singamsetty, said it creates a single, unified mesh network which combines both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth low-energy devices. Singamsetty previously served at such companies as Martian Watches, Jaalaa, Microtune/Transilica, and Uniden. He was the VP of Engineering at Martian Watches, which creates a smartphone-connected, Bluetooth-enabled watch.
