AdRev Buys DashGo
Los Angeles-based AdRev, which provides digital rights management for large music publishers on YouTube, said Monday that it has purchased DashGo, a service that allows artists, labels, and publishers to distribute, promote, market, and license music across digital retailers, subscription services and internet radio. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. DashGo distributes music to iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music Key, Pandora, Amazon, Google Play, Beats, Rdio, Rhapsody, Sound Exchange, BeatPort, and elsewhere, and was founded by Ben Patterson. AdRev is led by Ryan Born, and is venture backed by DFJ Frontier and Fotolia.
