Monrovia-based AeroVironment, the maker of unmanned aircraft systems, said late Thursday that it has received a $16M order for its Raven Unmanned Aircraft Systems. AeroVironment said the order comes from an existing contract with the U.S. Army, and will go towards logistics support for its systems. AeroVironment's Raven UAV is being used for reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition by the military.
