Akonix Raises $12M Series C

San Diego-based Akonix has raised a new $12M Series C venture funding round. The round was led by General Motors Asset Management, and included participation by existing investors Menlo Ventures, Mission Ventures, Palomar Ventures, and Windward Ventures. Akonix said that the new funding would be used to support investments in sales, marketing, customer support and product development. Akonix develops instant messaging security, compliance, and management appliances. More information »
