Akonix Rolls Comprehensive Instant Messaging Security Bundle

San Diego-based Akonix Systems announced today that it has rolled out new software that provides comprehensive, mluti-tiered security for public and private instant messaging. The firm said that its new 360 Degree Security includes multiple layers of security protection, and incorporates both the Akonix L7 Enforcer and L7 Enterprise products, virus protection through Sophos, and other features. The firm said that its multi-layer security product includes URL challenge-response features, message rate throttling, whitelist/blacklist features, and virus protection.
