American Reliance Power Acquired By AMETEK

The El Monte, California-based Power Division of American Reliance (AMREL Power), has been acquired by Pennsylvania firm AMETEK, AMETEK announced Thursday. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. AMREL Power is a provider of direct current (DC) power supplies and loads for the automated test equipment market. AMETEK said that AMREL Power will become part of its San Diego-based Programmable Power Division. AMTEK said that its Electronic Instruments Group has 2009 sales of $1.1 billion.
