Amgen Buys Turkish Pharmaceutical Company




Thousand Oaks-based Amgen said this morning that it has acquired Turkish pharmaceuticals firm Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceuticals. Amgen said the deal is worth $700M in cash. Amgen said the acquisition will help to significantly expand its presence in Turkey. Mustafa Nevzat is a major supplier of pharmaceuticals to hospitals in Turkey, with revenues of approximately $200M in 2011.
