Are Cargo Carrying Drones The Future Of Air Freight?

Are giant, cargo carrying drones--such as the ones being developed by Camarillo-based Sabrewing Aircraft, the future of freight? According to an article in the IEEE Spectrum, Sabrewing's "Rhaegal" cargo drone can lift almost 5,500 pounds of cargo straight up from the ground, or as much as 10,000 pounds with a short runway, and can be used to help carry cargo across the country. Sabrewing says it is about to enter into flight testing.
