    Aristos Logic Acquired By Adaptec


    Foothill Ranch-based Aristos Logic, a developer of RAID chips and technology, has been acquired by Adaptec, Adaptec said Thursday. Adaptec said it will pay approximately $41.0M in cash for Aristos Logic, whose ASIC products are used in RAID storage systems. Aristos Logic has approximately 75 employees, and was founded in 2000. The firm is venture backed by EMC, Emulex, Infineon, JPMorgan Partners, Panorama Capital, QTV Capital, Seagate, TPG Ventures and Woodside Fund. Adaptec is a manufacturer of storage products, including storage adapters, RAID cards, and other related products.
