Arkami Gets $1.8M For myIDkey

Aliso Viejo-based Arkami, the company behind the MyIDKey Kickstarter project which stores passwords and online IDs on a secure Bluetooth and USB drive, has raised $1.8M in a funding round, the firm said Tuesday. According to Arkami, the funding came from Gordon Clemons, McNeel Capital and Mark Swanson. Arkami was created by technology veterans Tareq Risheq and Mark Thacker, and had originally raised money via Kickstarter for its secure, USB drive. The startup was one of the startups in OCTANE's Launchpad program. The firm had raised an astounding $473,333 on a goal of $150,000 for its device.
