    AudioMicro Signs Deals

Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, a startup focused on stock audio content, said this week that it has signed two new licensing agreements for content on its site. According to the firm, the firm has been engaged to represent AE Music Publishing Archive, which has over 1,000 full compositions from 8 composers. AudioMicro said that AE Music represents Grammy nominated composer David Arkenstone. AudioMicro also said it is in a deal with sound designer Ric Viers for Viers' sound effects, which have been used in Sony and Apple software, and placements on ABC, CBS, HBO, MTV, and ESPN productions. Financial terms of both deals were not disclosed. AudioMicro is an early stage startup founded by Ryan Born, formerly VP of Finance for WireImage.com (MediaVast, Inc.), which was acquired by Getty in June of 2007. AudioMicro is developing an online service targeted at video makers, film producers, and video game designers to find stock audio clips and music for licensing.
