Autonomy Partners With Equifax For Tesla Subscription

Santa Monica-based vehicle subscription service Autonomy--led by online automotive pioneer Scott Painter--has partnered with credit agency Equifax, the two said this morning. According to the two companies, Autonomy will use the Equifax InstaTouch ID consumer identity and authentication product, to enable its electric vehicle subscription service. Autonomy recently launched a Tesla Model 3 vehicle subscription program in California. Autonomy's subscription allows customers to pay a monthly fee and a "start fee" to gain access to a vehicle from their phone, as an alternative to purchasing or leasing a car. Autonomy was founded Scott Painter and Georg Bauer, both who previously founded subscription used car company Fair.
