Foothill Ranch-based Applied Voice & Speech Technologies announced this week that it has appointed a new member to its board of directors. The firm has appointed Pat Howard to its board. Howard has served as CEO of VMX, a call processing and voice messaging company, and has also served at Mosaix and QuantumShift. AVST is developing unified communications solutions that tie voice, email, and fax mesasging together.
