    BakBone, Asempra In Technology Partnership
    San Diego-based data storage firm BakBone Software and Asempra Technologies, a provider of data protection software, said today that they are in a partnership. Asempra said that the firms will invest in joint product development, marketing, and service delivery. The deal adds continuous availability and data protection (CDP) capability for Microsoft Windows environments for BakBone, which primarily provides Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS backup. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
