BandCon Acquired By Highwinds

Costa Mesa-based BandCon, a provider of content delivery network and related Internet infrastructure, has been acquired by Highwinds, an Internet services provider based in Florida. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, BandCon founder and CEO Ari Benowitz become chief revenue officer at Highwinds. Highwinds said that the acquisition was a "natural fit" with its multiplatform IP service offerings and content delivery network (CDN).
