In a twist to the popularity of mobile "check-in" applications, Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal's local recommendation site Bizzy said this morning that it has launched "Check-Outs", a new feature which allows users to rate and review local businesses--after visiting those businesses. Unlike the usual "check-in", which is typically done to announce the arrival of a mobile phone user to friends and others, Bizzy said its "check-out" is used to help provide recommendations on businesses and how much those users actually liked them. Bizzy is building up a database of local business recommendations, and looking to match up users to others who like the same businesses. Bizzy's mobile apps work on both iPhone and Android. ReachLocal launched Bizzy in November.
