Blizzard: StarCraft II Wings of Liberty Breaks Sales Records

Irvine-based videogame maker Blizzard Entertainment sold 1 million copies of its new title, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, the firm said, in its first 24 hours of availability. The firm said those number would make it the best-selling PC game of 2010 based on the first 24 hours of availability. Blizzard said it sold more than 1.5 million copies of the game in the first 48 hours it was available. The title first went on sale at midnight on July 27th, in a global launch which included versions in 11 different languages.
