Carlsbad-based Breach Security said this morning that it has named Marc Shinbrood as CEO. Shinbrood was most recently president and CEO of Trasure Coast Software, and also served at AXENT Technologies (acquireds by Symantec). Former CEO John Payne remains as Chairman of the board. Breach is developing applicatoin security appliances based on adaptive, policy and signature-based application IDS/IPS technology. Breach is venture backed by Enterprise Partners, Evergreen Venture Partners, and Pitango Venture Capital.
