Irvine-based Broadcom is reporting that William J. Ruehle, the company's Senior Vice President and CFO, has decided to retire, effective immediately. Broadcom said this afternoon that Bruce E. Kiddoo will serve as the firm's Acting Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis. Broadcom said that Ruehle decided to accelerate his retirement due to Broadcom's previously announce review of its equity awards. Ruehle has been CFO since June of 1997.
