Manhattan Beach-based CapLinked, the online service which helps private companies manage their investors and funding rounds, said that it has just surpassed $10 billion in private deals managed through the site since its launch earlier this year. The firm said the deals came through the over 8,000 companies using its site, and 90,000 accounts on the service. In a related announcement, CapLinked also said it has launched a new tool on the site, to help companies raise capital, called DealRocket, which will make companies' private deal rooms available to over 1,00 qualified, professional investors, including venture capitalists, angels, private equity firms, and hedge funds. The DealRocket feature had previously been available only to members of Microsoft's BizSpark program. CapLinked was co-founded by Eric Jackson and Christopher Grey, and is backed by such investors as Peter Thiel, Dave McClure, Joe Lonstale, Aman Verjee, and David Anderson.
