Ceph Names VP
Los Angeles-based Ceph, the developer of an open source, scalable distributed storage system which is in the midst of spinning out from Los Angeles hosting firm DreamHost, said today that it has named Ross Turk as Vice President, Community. Turk was most recently Senior Director of Communities at Talend, and also served at Alcatel-Lucent and SourceForge. Ceph is a massively scalable, open source distributed storage sytsem which is used in the open source, cloud computing project OpenStack. Ceph was originally created by DreamHost co-founder Sage Weil for his doctoral dissertation at UC Santa Cruz.
