Newport Beach-based Conexant Systems said today that it has shipped a new chip for the 802.11n wireless standard. Conexant said that its new single-chip product is targeted at being designed into printers, portable media players, cellular handsets, and USB sticks; the low-power products are used by manufacturers to provide wireless capabilities to hardware designs. Conexant said that the new products are available in production and have already been designed in by several original development manufacturers.
