Guardian News & Media, the firm behind web publisher ContentNext, is in discussions with potential buyers about a possible sale, according to a report from the firm's own site, paidContent. ContentNext--which had been founded by Rafat Ali in Santa Monica, and eventually sold in July of 2008 to Guardian News and Media--publishes paidContent, mocoNews.net, paidContent:UK, and contentSutra.com. Names of potential buyers were not discussed. paidContent said that Guardian is working with Coady Diemar Partners on a possible sale. paidContent said ContentNext employes 16, with paidContent now bringing in 639,000 uniques as of October 2011, with more than 1.3 million pageviews; the network has 808,000 uniques, and 1.67 million pageviews. ContentNext founder Rafat Ali left the firm in May of 2010. Ali had founded the blog after he lost a job immediately after September 11th.
