Curb Dangles Deals For Taxi Service

On-demand taxi service Curb has put on a renewed push to capture some of the Los Angeles on-demand ride market, launching a new promotion today on Groupon offering up to 85 percent off on its services. The company--formerly known as Taxi Magic--competes again Uber, Lyft, Sidecar, and Flywheel in allowing users to summon rides using their smartphone. Curb, like Flywheel, leverages local taxi companies for its rides, and has deals with LA Yellow Cab Company, South Bay Yellow Cab, Fiesta Taxi, Long Beach Yellow Cab, Pomona Yellow Cab, Metro Cab of Santa Monica, and LA City Cab to provide rides in the LA area.
