Cyber-Rain Raises $1.6M More
Encino-based Cyber-Rain, the developer of Internet-linked, automated sprinkler controllers, has raised $1.6M in a funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm on Tuesday. According to the filing, the new funding is part of an ongoing, $2.0M fundraising effort by the firm. Source of the funding has not been announced by the company, which has previously raised capital from Funk Ventures, Momentum Venture Management, and the Tech Coast Angels. Cyber-Rain was founded by Reza Pourzia, and is currently headed by Diana Schulz. Cyber-Rain's intelligent sprinkler controllers are used to accurately set sprinklers for the proper amount of irrigation, based on weather, including rain, temperature, cloud cover, and other information from the Internet.
