Cymer Acquisition By ASML Completes

San Diego-based laser light engine provider Cymer is now officially part of ASML, after the completion of ASML's acquisition of Cymer Thursday. The deal was worth $2.5 billion. ASML said it would buy Cymer back in October of 2012, and has been working through a complex set of regulatory approvals since then. Cymer's laser light sources are used in the semiconductor lithography area, used as part of the process of laying out designs on integrated cruits.
