Diversion Gets Series B For Social Games

Los Angeles-based Diversion Inc., a developer of social games, said today that it has scored a Series B strategic funding round. Size of the round was not announced. The firm said the investment was led by TomorrowVentures, hearts Corporation, and Michael Eisner's Tornante Company. Marcy Casey, who produced The Cosby Show and That 70's Show, as well as venture capitalist Art Bilger also participated in the round. Diversion was founded by Davyvid Iannaci, Amir Haleem, Chris Bruce, Jason Carlton, Shawn Fanning, and Michael Eisner. The firm's social games include the A-List and FameTown. As part of the funding, the firm said it has inked a $1M, advertising deal with Sony Pictures. More information »
