San Diego-based DivX said Monday afternoon that it has appointed Kevin Hell as the firm's new CEO and a member of its board of directors. Hell has been serving as action CEO at the company since July. Hell has been at DivX since 2002, and has previously served at Palm Solutions Group, Gateway, and the Boston Consulting Group. DivX is a developer of compression and decompression software for video.
