Malibu-based Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the business credit and services firm headed by Internet vet Jeffrey Stibel, said Thursday that it is backing the Startup America Partnership, an effort to accelerate entrepreneurship and grow new jobs in the U.S. D&B Credibility said that it will provide a 10 percent discount on annual purchases of business credit and credibility solutions to participants in the program, committing up ot $2M annually to the effort. Startup America was launched earlier this year by the White House, to attempt to drive job growth in the country via entrepreneurship. Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. set up shop in Malibu last year, after private equity firm Great Hill Capital partnered with Stibel to buy D&B's credit rating unit. Stibel is the former CEO of Web.com, and was the GM of United Online.
