eHarmony's Waldorf Joins Accel Partners

Greg Waldorf, the former CEO of Pasadena-based eHarmony, is joining venture capital firm Accel Partners as CEO-in-Residence, the firm said Monday evening. Waldorf left eHarmony on January 19th, as the firm has been rumored to be in process of an IPO. Waldorf was at eHarmony for 11 years at the company, including for five years as CEO; he also was the founding investor in the company. Waldorf joins a long list of CEO and Entrepreneurs-in-Residences from Southern California firms who are now associated with Bay Area venture capital firms; other EIRs in the area include Sean Moriarty, former CEO of Ticketmaster, now at Mayfield and Hamet Watt, formerly of NextMedium, now and EIR at True Ventures.
