Santa Monica-based EdgeCast, the content delivery network provider, is reporting this morning that it now has more than 3,000 customers using its services. The company said it is now carrying 4 percent of global Internet traffic, serving around 1.5 billion objects per hour via its network. EdgeCast said around 1,000 of those customers were added in the last six months, and included ShoeDazzle, Yellowbook, and AllSaints.
