Santa Monica-based Edmunds.com, the online automotive information site, is ramping up its efforts to update its reach to consumers, saying that it has launched a new, real-time car shopping advice service called "EdmundsLive". The company said that the service will help provide live feedback and advice via Twitter while they are shopping for new or used cars. Users can sent requests to @EdmundsLive, and Edmunds will offer up expert advice, pricing, and other information on car buying to users. The move follows the launch of an iPhone app by the firm in April and a brand new home page in December. Edmunds CEO Jeremy Anwyl has been pushing Edmunds to update its brand and features since last September.
