Los Angeles-based MySpace and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said today that they will take submission--from anyone with an Internet connection and a camera--for the Broadband Emmy Awards. The Broadband Emmy Awards will allow for the submission of any user-generated content for consideration in the Emmy awards. MySpace and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said that they will allow video producers and filmmakers to submit their user-generated content for consideration through a MySpace profile. The videos will be rated and a "2007 Broadband Emmy Award" presented in a number of categories. The Emmy Awards included the broadband awards for the first time last year. MySpace will be the exclusive online partner of the Broadband Emmy Awards submissions.
