Enevate Deploys Fast Charge Tech With EV Motorcycle Firm

Irvine-based battery technology developer Enevate said this week that it has lined up with EV motorcycle developer Lightning Motorcycles, to power up that company's extremely fast charge systems on the LS218 motorcycle. The company said that Lightning Motorcycles is utilizing a 47Ah "extreme-fast-charge Si-dominant lithium-ion" battery system that was licensed from Enevate. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. Enevate claims the adoption of its technology allows for a 10 minute fast charge from 20 percent to 80 percent, and a 200+ freeway mile range on the motorcycle.
