San Diego-based security software firm ESET reports today that it has launched its own, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the ESET Foundation, to help support an effort by the firm to increase cybersecurity awareness and education. The firm said the nonprofit will support its Securing our eCity efforts, which is providing cybersecurity education in San Diego and beyond. ESET explained that organizations like the San Diego Police Foundation, Girl Scouts USA, The Boy Scouts of America and others have been turning to its Securing Our eCity efforts to learn about cybersecurity for business, families, youth and seniors.
