EV Connect Completes Fast Charging Corridor In California's Central Valley

El Segundo-based EV Connect, which operates a network of electric vehicle chargers, says it has completed a fast charging corridor along California's Central Valley. According to EV Connect, it now has more than 150 miles of State Highway 99 supported by fast charging stations. The company said the corridor was created by placing charging stations at three Love's Travel Stops along the 99. The new stops are in Ripon, Madera, and Tulare, and include both DC fast chargers (DCFC) and level-2 chargers. The new extension of chargers helps expands the network of charging stations that are being installed as part of an effort by the California Energy Commission, which aims to have charging stations every 25 to 50 miles along California's highways. EV Connect is venture backed by Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Ecosystem Integrity Fund and others.
