Fandango Buys Movies.com

Los Angeles-based movie website Fandango said this morning that it has acquired Movies.com, an online movie content site which was owned by Walt Disney Internet Group. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Movies.com is an online web site which features information about showtimes, upcoming movies, and other movie-related information. According to Fandango, its advertising sales force will now represent both sites to advertisers. Fandango is a unit of Comcast, which acquired the firm in April of 2007.
